Hello to everyone. I am having a problem with an ODBC connection cache. If
anyone has any insight, it would be appreciated.

Details:
Windows 2000
EAS 3.5
Connection Cache to EAS Demo DB V3 System DSN
Using odbc32.dll -- I have tried fully specifing the path.

When I click on Ping, I get the following error:
"Ping of EADDemoDB ODBC Connection Cache failed: The ping operation did not
complete successfully. The ODBC connect call failed. Check the Jaguar
server's log file for more details."

When I check srv.log, I find the following:
"cm__odbc_error: SQLError:0, SQLState: <garbage characters>"

I can connect to the DSN through ODBC Admin, PB 7.0, and through Jaguar if I
use the JDBC-ODBC bridge, or Jconnect.

Thanks in advance,
Susan Neilan

I noted on a previous thread that EAS is not compatible with Windows 2000 until
next release.

W2K is not yet supported. ODBC is one of the biger issues.

I had a similar problem which existed in Win2000 RC2. I suspected it was an
Win2000/odbc32.dll issue because the problem did not exist with Win98 and
EAS 3.5 or with NT4 and EAS 3.5. I didn't investigate any further...just
went back to NT4!
