I have a WEB site in PowerDynamo. I want to disable browsing as you can do
in IIS. How can this be done? Currently, if a user navigates to the root of
the web site, the directory in the database displays even though there is a
default.htm and an index.htm defined.

Thanks

Ray

Making the suggested change makes no apparent difference. Modifying
contview.ssc itself does seem to work, but I want to be able to offer
browsing to some users.

If you want to limit the browsing to a select list of users, you are talking
implementing a security policy. You can modify the contview script to check
a login (session.userid or something). Then you would need some kind of
login screen, etc...
Another thing you can do is check the server variables
"GetServerVariable()", specifically GetServerVariable('REMOTE_ADDR'). This
might give you enough to limit who can view the directory contents. Just
put the code inside an IF block.

From an object standpoint, modifying contview.ssc is something I'd rather
not do, but if I have to, I have to. It seems odd that autoexec.ssc never
seems to execute when the site opens or on a directory call.

Thanks All
Ray

If I don't miss my guess, autoexec.ssc is only supposed to execute the first
time the web server hits Dynamo, like on boot if IIS is a service, when it
comes on-line it should make the link to the Dynamo DLL, and autoexec.ssc
should fire then. Isn't that what you are seeing?
