1. One of EJB's remote interface methods returns an instance of a
custom-defined class. The custom class is defined as final and is mapped by
IDL converter to a structure in EAS when EJB is deployed. Everything's fine
so far.

2. In the custom class I am defining some methods that operate on members of
the class. These methods are not reflected in the class' IDL in any way.
Attempt to call these methods expectedly results in the 'Method not found'
compilation error.

3. Is there a way to define methods of the custom class so they would
reflected in the IDL?

TIA

TIA,

what you have to do is create the IDL for the custom class first using the
IDL editor. Define your methods and variables. then add that interface to
your EJB.

Is there a way to get it done by defining the custom class first and then
importing it into EAS? Thanks.

The only way I have done something like this is to create the IDL first and
the have the java class implement that IDL.
