Hi ALL

Recently we deployed a Jaguar server to run some components on it. It's on a
different server from Power Dynamo. We just found that something
extra-ordinary happed to Power Dynamo when it can't get response, that's my
guess, from Jaguar server for some reason, either the server is down or the
components fails to send back something. Then some database connections of
the Power Dynamo site are lost. The site can't connect to the database
server and run queries any more even though the test inside the Sybase
Central says the connection is ok. The only solution to this is you need to
stop and restart the web server. By the way our servers are all NT boxes
and the version are all 3.5.

Any one has suggestions or advice to solve this problem? Or is there any way
to time out java.CreateComponent method under Power Dynamo?

Thanks in advance,
Steve.

If something happens to hose a DB connection, PD does not do a good job
in recovering. I would add some trace logic which writes to srv.log so
that you can see what is going on and at least you will know whether PD
is waiting on Jag.

The only solution to this is you need to
