Why does a data element stored as "Children's Illustration" appear as
"Children?s Illustration" in an HTML DataWindow ?

Are we missing something in the documentation?

Meanwhile -

How do we get the background colours to appear as set in the DataWindow?

This DW control only appears to allow single background colours...

OK - here's the answer to part II : -)
Set the "Client Formatting" check box for the background colours to come
out.

A better implementation is to use cascaded style sheets. These have to
implemented outside of the datawindow object because the CSS checkbox was
not implemented.
