HI,

Is there a way to create a second transaction object? I'm trying to create
a SQLCA2 object, but it gives me an error. I need to access 2 DBMS's from
the component.

Information C0197: Component Validation
Warning C0198: illegal Jaguar type: 'transaction' for variable: 'sqlca2'

Thanks,
Mike

Keep in mind that Jaguar will only manage one transaction per tree
unless you are running the enterprise version of EAServer 3.5.

Hi,

Actually I found that I was trying to setup the transaction as an instance
variable, when I tried as a global there were no complaints from Jaguar.
And yes this is the enterprise version.

Thanks,
Mike Kling

Make sure you declare the transaction object to be private or protected as the
transaction object is not a valid CORBA datatype....
