Is it possible to retrieve a resultset, send it to the browser, then
populate fields on the HTML page with values in the resultset. In other
words, is it possible to get a resultset without displaying the table.

If so, where can I find info/tutorial on the technique?

A component can return a resultset to a server-side PowerDynamo script and
then you can process the resultset and do whatever processing you need.
Take a look at the resultset object in PD as well as the files in the
system\util folder in your PD web site, specifically the adoqry.ssc and
javaqry.ssc. There are examples in the PD help.
