Hi,
I installed the Jaguar 3.5 release and I'm having some problems.
When I start the server I continue to receive 'The dynamic link library
clbr110.dll could not be found in the specified path' . My 3.5 includes the
\dll,client\dll,\bin, and \html\classes folders and the clbr110.dll is
nowhere to be found within my Jaguar folders or the system directory. I'm
also getting this error with the 'dyhtml03.dll' file if the 'Enable Dynamo
Execution' option is checked for the server.
The other issue I'm having is that when I attempt to generate stubs for my
PB components, I am receiving 'Invalid escape character' error messages for
each .java file generated. This didn't happen with Jaguar 3.0.1.

Any ideas?
Chris

I found that the clbr110.dll is actuall part of the runtime system for the
Watcom C/C++. Any chance you've got a service component that was written using
this compiler?

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the reply. I appreciate your help. I do not have any
components written in C or C++, thus I am not using the Watcom compiler.
Actually, all my components are PB. Could the SVU demo have anything to do
with the dll file being requested? I downloaded the EBF for Jag 3.5, but I
have not applied it yet and I don't know what issues are addressed. I
didn't see where it was mentioned(if it was mentioned). Do you know if the
EBF addresses the java stub generation errors? I figured that I'd better
ask before washing up another support call.
Thanks,
Chris

Is this a new install or a progressive upgrade? (SVU used to be in C++ as well
as Java some eaons ago).

This is an upgrade from 3.0.1. The java errors I'm getting are 'Invalid
escape character'. I'm getting this error for all my components. I applied
the EBF and it did not correct this nor did it correct the clbr110.dll
that's missing.
Here is the java source for one of my components:
'The exact error is uo_server_global:6:: Invalid escape character.'

package CAIS;

/**
** Generated by Jaguar CTS 3.5 - Tue Feb 29 10:36:22 PST 2000
**
** from CAIS::uo_server_global (file D:\Sybase\Jaguar CTS
3.5\Repository\IDL\CAIS\uo_server_global.idl, line 10).
**
** Please do not modify this file.
**/

public interface uo_server_global extends CAIS.n_jaguar,
org.omg.CORBA.Object, uo_server_globalOperations
{
}

Thanks,
Chris

This is a bug in the JavaSoft JDK. It sees the \u in the comments and
thinks its a UNICODE variable. Can you change the name from uo_* to
something not starting with a 'u'. I think we changed everything to forward
slashes to avoid the cmpiler bug in the JDK.

Hi Dave,
That was the problem. Thanks for the help. I also found the
clbr110.dll file on another machine and just pasted it into my NT's system
folder(hey...whatever works, right?).

Thanks for your help.

SVU is pure Java itself. Im stumped.

As for the 35038 build, what stub problems are you having and i can tell you
if 35038 fixed it.

1) The missing DLL, I have no idea. I dont see us depending on that DLL?

2) The Dynamo stuff. See the installation guide. Make sure if you
installed Dynamo the PATH and PDYNAMO variable are correct. If you didnt
install PD 3.5 you can turn off Dynamo integration

3) As for the problem generating stubs. Call support, I think we fixed
this.
