Getting an error code 57 on a connectoserver()

error 57 is not documented.
I am changing my connection object to change from unix to a nt server with
an ini file setting. this seems fine.

Any errors in the server log? I get this when the server isn't running or
listening on the wrong port, etc. Is there a delay when the error occurs,
like a timeout, or does it happen immediately?
