Hi All,

Can someone tell me what the difference in these two classes are. We are
writing JAVA CORBA components and we imagine that we should use the

CORBA doenst really have a date object. We have our own MJD::Date. See the
IDL Documentation for the MJD module.

A PB client calling a Java component should use PB 'date'. The Java component
should use Java 'MJD.Date' or 'MJD.DateHolder' as the parameter type, depending
on whether the parameter mode is 'in', 'out' or 'inout'.

Similar comments apply when using a Java client with a PB component. Since
PB components often have 'ref' parameters, which is mapped to IDL 'inout',
Java clients accessing PB components with date parameters will often use
'MJD.DateHolder' as the parameter type.
