We are the need to automate the server sync process. In our shop,
developent is allowed to deploy components into test servers. However, the
change manament area controls the role(promotion) of components base on a
paced change cycle. All approvals and verivication test must be completed
before objects move toward production.

We have a automated process to track the changed and can id the components
that can be moved.
We need a way to feed a batch process like the jag manager sync process.
this need to be controled by the change system and can not have someone
perform the task with the jag manager.

Any ideas would be great.

Alan

Look at $JAGUAR/html/ir/Jaguar__Repository.html, specifically the "sync"
operation. This is the API that Jaguar Manager uses for synchronization.
From EAServer 3.5, we support the use of the stubs in package
com.sybase.jaguar.system for accessing the Jaguar/Repository, Jaguar/Management
and Jaguar/Monitoring components. These, if you like, are our "public"
internal APIs.

But we dont let you put your own roles on that component. Its read only.
So how do you let developers sync, but not do other actions? I wanted to
remove the admin role from sync and put the developer role, but it doesnt
let me.
