Hi:

I call a PB component function in Jaguar from Dynamo returning a string.

The sequence I use is the following:

mypage.htm
-> <FORM method=post action=myscript.ssc>
myscript.ssc
-> var comp_obj = java.CreateComponent("jagComp/n_nvo","iiop://localhost:9000", "jagadmin", "");
s_result = comp_obj.f_function(param1)

The function execution last around 1 minute, then I would like to write some message on the screen
("Please wait...") during the execution.

I already test someting like: <META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0; URL=' + str + '">, to call a
second script from the first one, but I would prefer another solution.

Any idea ?
Many thanks
GIlbert

What if you just document.writeln("Please Wait"); before the component call?

Unless something's changed, we've seen that PD doesn't flush its output
until the script ceases execution; I doubt that sending a
document.writeln() before the method call will do anything useful. You
may want to consider creating a Java object that spawns a thread to
perform the long-running method, associate the object handle with your
user's session, and use the meta refresh tag as a client-pull to check
the status of the call.
