Web datawindow problem with Microsoft SQL Server Ver 7 Database

Using EA Server 3.0. Web datawindow. Using dw.describe to retrieve SQL for data
window, then dynamically modifying the where clause. The where clause for the
modified SQL says …. WHERE (m.modal_code in (2, 3, 6, 5, 4, 1) and
(site_state in (“NJ”))…

After dw.modify() and dw.Generate(), I get error message Select error: SQLSTATE
= S0022 [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid column name 'NJ'.

If I drop the site_state portion of the where clause, the select and the web
datawindow retrieves data correctly. Can anyone help? THANKS!

I saw some things like this with MS SQL recently at a client and they were
forced to switch to a stored procedure.

Does this statement work correctly if run in PB database painter? How about
the MS SQL isql?

This sql statement works in both PB database painter and the MS SQL isql.
Interesting that the numeric m_modal_code works fine and the alpha site_state
code doesn't work. I tried single quotes instead of double quotes around the
state, same error.

Any possibility of trying a different driver?
