Hi here's a problem that I don't know how to solve and hope someone here has
experiences with this:

I have a Jaguar component (coded with PB) which has the following codes to
use a datastore object:

ds = CREATE datastore
ds.dataobject = arg_report
ds.SetTransObject(itr)
n_rtn = ds.Retrieve(items)

arg_report is the name of the datawindow that's being provided as function
parameter.

All possible datawindows that would be passed as arg_report are defined in
another PBL file which is installed somewhere on the server's file system.
We can have a number of these PBLs that only contain datawindows and each of
them can be in a different physical path.

Problem: We would not want to add the PBL that contains the datawindows into
the library list of the Jaguar component at development time. The client
application is possible to know the full path of the PBL and the name of the
datawindow that it wants the Jaguar component to use.

With our case here, is there a way we can assign a valid
datastore.dataobject in my Jaguar component codes by having the full path of
the PBL file and the name of the datawindow?

Thanks!!!!

Parkson,

Add the files to the PBR file that is going to be used for the
implementation. That way it will only be including the the PBD the object
needed for deployment.

Actually the problem us that I would not know of the files and the
datawindows at development time. We want to implement a component function
which will take the full path and file name of a PBL file and the name of
the datawindow in that PBL as input so that it can assign the input
datawindow object to a datastore at runtime.

Parkson,

This is going the be the same issue you would have if you where deploying a
two-tier PB application. Unfortunately you need to either create a PBR and
redeploy or include it as an unreferenced object at deployment time.
