I have a java bean as a component in jaguar. This component is running the
following code
BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new FileReader("rmiserver.ini"));

I am getting a file not found error. The ini file is on the server in the
same place that
the component JAR file is.

Is there a better path for this file? should this file be in my jar?

Alan

The FileReader would start looking in %JAGUAR%. You should use relative
paths based on this path.

Try putting rmiserver.ini in your %JAGUAR%\bin (or $JAGUAR/bin) directory.
That's what my team has done with files like this. It's not really the best
place for the file, but at least it works.

Hmm... Our components are Java/CORBA rather than Java Bean. But I don't think
that'll make a difference.
