It seems like somewhere I have seen that Sybase is offering EA Server for
Solaris. Since their web site says nothing about this (as usual), can
someone let me know if this is available? If so, we have PowerBuilder 7
NVO's that we would like to deploy on the Solaris platform. Can I take
these NVOs from the standard Windows version of PowerBuilder 7 and deploy
them to a Solaris EA Server, or would I need to purchase PB 6.5 for Solaris?

Thanks,

John Berry

John,

You can take your PB NVOs from windows and deploy them to Solaris. All you
need is the PB VM on solaris in EAServer which we offer today.

I've read in the latest PCMagazine that Linux has 25% of the market share
for OSs on servers. Up from 16% a year ago. I would think that is enough
for getting PB over to Linux? Solaris doesn't have that much market
penetration.
