I have a master detail frameset [master page in left frame, passes an arg to
the detail page in the right frame]. When it loads, I get an error
'800706be' in both the left & the right frame. When I hit refresh,
everything is fine.

And this happens on EVERY frameset page that has a master-detail situation.

I'm using ASP w/ IIS, and the html dw in both master & detail pages (of
course). Any ideas?

Rgds,
Jay S.

Can you post more detail?
What does your ASP page look like?
Do you get any errors in the log?
Does this argument actually get passed to the page?
Can you write the argument back to the client?

I assume you are passing a retrieval argument. I assume you call Jaguar from
ASP. I assume you are using ActiveX client.

Good step when you have page to page navigation is to ensure the arguments
are getting passed as you anticipated.

page one calls page two with an argument, simply have page two write the
arguments to the page so you can see the arguments were passed correctly.
Now that you have the arguments you anticipated, you can call your
component.

1. I'm not using Jaguar... its a COM object running in MTS.
2. the htmldw works great on all pages other than master detail ones.
3. I pass the arg from the asp page in the left frame, to the one in the rt
frame
4. Aside from the initial error on load, the argument works. When I select
a record from the left frame page, the right detail asp page retrieves.

Let me know if this added information helps.
