I recently installed Infomaker 6.0 so that I could access my recently
updated Oracle 7.3 database. Whenever I try to bring up a table in a
query, the program 'hangs'. It will give me the list of tables but will
not let me access them.

Infomaker 5.0 worked fine prior to Oracle 7.3. When we installed Oracle
7.3, version 5 performed the same 'hanging' operation. I had hoped that
version 6.0 would resolve that, but it is not the case.

My users have hundreds of reports that they can run but they cannot change
or create new reports. I am in desperate need of assistance.

Thank you.

I have no problems at all with any version of Oracle 7. I use 7.1, 7.2 and
7.3. Did you upgrade the sqlnet on the clients? Ideally you should use
sqlnet 2.3, but 2.2 works fine too. And make sure that you match the sqlnet
version with the native oracle driver version in IM:
sqlnet 2.1 / O71, 2.2 / O72, 2.3 / O73.

You can use the O72 driver with sqlnet 2.3 if you want to, but then you must
install the 'required support files 7.2.x'.
Hope this helps.
