We are having problems accessing InfoMaker version 5.0.02. What happens is
that we will double click on the icon, the InfoMaker will briefly display,
then disappear. The strange thing is that this happens three or four
times, then on the fifth try it will open. Another thing that occurs is
that we will select the Environment button, then attempt to open another
library. We select the library, but InfoMaker does not take us to that
library. This happens five or six times, then finally, we are in the
library we opened!

This happens on multiple workstations, but not consistently. As noted, it
will take several attempts to access InfoMaker or open a library, but then
suddenly we are in. It does appear that it is only happening on
workstations within one department. (No other department has difficulties
accessing InfoMaker.) Could there be a conflict with something else on our
workstations? Any suggestions? We are extremely baffled by this.

Thanks for your assistance.

Is everyone running their own copy locally or are you sharing off the
network (including the im.ini)? Are you using the Sharedini setting?
With immediate fails on startup, it's usually either a pathing problem
or the inability to write to the im.ini (perhaps locked by another
user?)

It sounds like you are trying to access a pbl that someone else has opened.
