Is it possible to change the presentation style once a report has been
created? On the Design Menu, under Options, I attempted to change the
presentation style but it would not save the new style.

No. But freeform, tabular and grouped are essentially all the same. If you
have PB, you can do some backdoor stuff to change for instance a grid-style
report to become a tabular one.
