1. Do Infomaker 5 fixes .001 through .004 need to be applied one at a
time, or does .004 cover all the previous ones? If they need to be applied
one at a time, is there an automated way to do this?
2. Does IM 5 patch .004 make it Y2K compliant?
3. Is there a difference between the IM 5 standalone installation, and the
one that comes with PowerBuilder 5?
4. If it can be explained simply, what exactly do the fixes do?
5. During installation from the network, the IM 5 and PB 5 ask for the
location of the source files; can the .inf files be edited safely to
specify the full network path so the install knows where to go? If so,
exactly which one is to be edited?

Thanks,
Tom Kraft

You only need to apply 5.0.04

PB/IM 5.0.04 is the Y2K certified version. It is still up to you to ensure
that you have proper date masks and that your SQL is correct. Make sure
that your DB and OS are Y2K compliant too. Don't forget about the Control
Panel short date format. It defaults to YY. Change it to YYYY.

They are the same

>4. If it can be explained simply, what exactly do the fixes do?

A lot. Too much to explain.

I don't know. There is a tech document that explains how to install PB5
and IM5 on the network.

Be aware that 5.0 soon will be an unsupported product, now that version 7 is
available.
