Hi All

I have 2 reports, 1 being a detail report and the 2nd a summary report
which is a count(*) by a column (group by)

I embedded this report in my detail report passing arguments from detail
to summary report.

I have tested the detail and summary reports as individual reports and
they both work fine. The report works fine when they are embedded, but
for some reason parts of the embedded summary report cannot be seen.
I increased the width of the summary band which allowed me to see some
of the data, but not all of it. It looks like it is being cut off.

The other problem I have is that, on the last page of the detail report
it will print the last line on a new page and leave a large gap on the
previous page.

Why do I have to increase size of summary band, why does'nt report
automatically handle the length of the report being embedded.

Thanks for any help

If you are passing just retrieval arguments (and not actual row values),
then you could use a composite report, which handles the autoseize a bit
better, because you place the reports all in the detail band.
Unfortunately, autoseize height only works on the detail band. I wish too
it would work on all bands.
You can send an enhancement request to PS using WebExpress if you want to:
