Here's the problem. I need a way in which the report I create in
Infomaker, accepts a value passed to it by the program which called the
report. I also need to access this value in one of the computed objects
on my report. In another report, I need the passed value within my
'WHERE' clause. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Chad

I assume you mean an external program, like VB or Delphi calling your IM
exe. You will need PB to do this. IM cannot handle command line
arguments, other than the name of a report. IM exe's don't handle command
line arguments at all.

The retrieval argument that you defined in the select is accessible in the
report. Create a computed field and you will see the argument available as
a selectable field.
