ok, i spent hours on getting the following work:

i need to have summarys of some columns on the bottom
of each page where each summary calculates as the cumulative sum
of a column. I know there's something like cumulative sums, but
i can't use this, due the fact that the actual value calculates in a
nested
report.

Now the quesiton: is there any way to pass values from a nested report
to the parent report?
And another q.: What's the real difference between a composite and
a nested report?

Any help is welcome, Mike.

No. You will need PB to do this, since then you have some behind the scene
scripting capabilities.

A composite report is made of several independent reports. They can have
retrieval arguments that are supplied by the user at run time.
A nested report can take retrieval arguments, but those values are passed
from the actual database values in the parent report.
Another difference is that for a composite report you can specify the
page-break, which you unfortuantely cannot for a nested report.
