I'm experiencing a problem distributing IM5.0 executables, where reports
containing nested reports cause the program to crash intermittently, at
a rate of about 50%: all title bars become greyed-out and the program
accepts no further inputs.
All the reports run perfectly within Infomaker. This only seems to occur
where nested reports are present, and occurs when reports are run
locally or on the network.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem or does anyone have a
solution/suggestion?

Thanks.

It's probably due to different dll versions. Make sure you use IM 5.0.02
or 03 deployment kit dll's.

I believe this is bug # 46815. In development.
"Some reports containing nested reports with retrieval arguments hang in
the executable but not in development.. Most often reported in
Infomaker due to the fact there is a dataobject assignment in the open
event of the report window used to display Infomaker Reports. It hangs
on the dataobject assignment."

It usually hangs on the second report. Is this the behavior you see?

This sounds very much like the behaviour I'm witnessing. Is there a fix
for this bug?
Thanks.
