I am working with a tabular report where two objects are selected.

Because the report relates to more than one sample these objects get
selected more than once.

I am able to suppress the repaeting values but this leaves me with blank
lines on my report.

I wish to move the data up so that these blank lines do not occurr.

Any ideas on this one please.

regards

A few options you might want to consider:
1) Take a look at the SELECT statement to see whether you can use a
DISTINCT option to eliminate duplicate rows.
2) Depending on your report, you can create a group based on the repeating
value column(s) and move the columns into the group.
3) Suppress repeating values is not used to eliminate the blank lines. But
you can do it a different way:
- create a group based on the repeating columns
- create a dummy, invisible computed field on the report: dummy =
cumulativesum( 1 for group 1)
- for all columns in the detail band set the autoseize height attribute and
specify the following visible property: if ( dummy = 1, 1 , 0 ).
- set the detail band autoseize height (rightclick on the grey band)
- make the detail band as small as possible. IM will increase the height
automatically, but not decrease

The last approach might seem cumbersome, but it's a generic technique that
works well in lots of different situations.
