A user is getting this error when trying to create a report
based upon a stored procedure.

----
Cannot create DataWindow

'Requested result set number 1 not found

1 execute dbo.coa_no;1 @state_abbreviation=:state_abbreviation,
@tax_year=:tax_year'

----

Has anyone seen this error before and know what might be causing
it?

If we retype the entire stored procedure and build a new report,
we do not get an error. The stored procedure also executes fine
from the command line.

TIA,

Steve

That message is returned if:

You have created datawindow from a stored procedure that returns a result
set AND
You have not executed the code that returns the result set OR
You have not executed the code that tells PB there is an error.
In Sybase we have to code:RAISERROR @error @message

It may work from the command line and not with a datawindow. The
datawindow is expecting a result the
command line isn't.

Your message says if you retype it they it works. That stumps me. I have
been using stored procedures
for 3 years and the only time I have ever gotten that error message is if:
1. I changed the stored procedure
and exit the store procedure without doing a select or 2. I goto an error
section and do not do a raiseerror.
