Hi.
I have a detailed report with three columns. If any of the
columns value are the same(repeats)as the previous row I want to
suppress the data and then print the next row. I have sorted the
data in the following order: col 1 col 2 col 3. I used select distinct
in my SQL logic and using the option "suppress repeating values" I moved
all
three columns under the suppression list but still get repeating
values.

I would like to suppress the 2nd row, and print only rows 1 and three

case id select date complete date
421 4/7/98 6/1/98
421 4/7/98 6/1/98
433 4/20/98 7/5/98

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this problem. Thanks in
advance.

The 'suppress repeated values' is used to blank a column, not to suppress a
complete row. It appears that you are pulling more columns in the actual
select that you are printing. If you remove those from the select, then the
'select distinct' will do the trick. If you cannot remove these columns,
you could create a group in the report based on col1, col2, col3 and then
move these columns from the detail band into the group band.
