I have a report that counts a variable and then gives a total on a group
break. I need to know if anyone has had any luck getting the
cumulativesum
function to count only the number that is the total for the group? Not
re-count every variable in the group? I don't want a re-count because
I'm
using the 'distinct' option because of the duplicates within a group.

You can use the DISTINCT option: cumulativeSum( your_column for all
distinct ), but it requires that the report is sorted by your_column.
If you have values like 1,2,1,3,2 it will not work. If your values are
1,1,2,2,3 it will work.
