Are there restrictions to datatypes for Infomaker? I cannot query a
table from my ASA 6.0 database if I select or join on a column that is
an unsigned integer. However, if I 'cut' the generated sql and run it
through ISQL against the database, I get great results, no problem.
The error Infomaker gives me is:
Select error:SQLSTATE = 07006
[Sybase][ODBC driver][Adaptive Server Anywhere]Restricted data type
attribute violation: cannot convert ??? to a ???

I'm a little panicky here - any help would be appreciated!
Becky

My apologies again. Please ignore my first response to my question.
Yes, I DID have garbage in my converted table, but now that I've cleaned
everything up, I still have the original problem with unsigned
integers. If anyone knows that the use of this datatype is prohibited
in Infomaker, please comment. Thanks much.

Becky

It appears to be a bug. In PB beta 7 it works. I would call this in to
tech support.

To upgrade your IM 6.0 download the PB 6.5 maintenance file from

It might prompt you to register first (free)

This is a big nevermind. Looks like I managed to load some bad data
(oops) to my database. Imagine!
