We are getting the following error message trying create a query.

Incorrect syntax near 'VERSION'

PBSELECT(VERSION(400) TABLE(NAME="appl_history_lines")
TABLE(NAME="") etc....

The message looks strange. In one case you have underscores, the other
In your report try converting to syntax and see if that helps. When using
syntax mode, make sure there is a extra space at the end of a line.
