On a weekly basis I have roughly 40 reports that need to be run on the
same day. Is there any type of function that may be used to
automatically start IM, run the reports and print the output, if any,
then move on to the next report? I would think a scheduler would need
to be developed in PB but would like to check to see if there are any
functions contained within Im itself.

Thanks.

You can run Infomaker and pass it command line parameters to run, print
reports. But there is no scheduling capability in the tool. If you run on
NT, you could use the AT command to schedule jobs.
Tech Doc 44647 gives more information on running IM from the command line.

Just to add to this. For IM6 there is a customized imstyle6.pbl available
that allows you to create exes and then run the exe using command line
arguments. It is available at
ftp://ftp.powersoft.com/pub/private/pbpatch/im6.0_fixes/imstyle6.zip
