Infomaker has the option of creating data tables with commonly used fields,
this will save end-users time by eliminating any confusion about which data
tables and data fields to used in a report. I already went through the
manual connect your database, but really confused about database preference
and DBParm. We might have more than 100 users to create the report, but i
dont wanna them go through every tables in our corporate database.
Any comment

On the System tab in your DB-PRofile you can enter the Tablecriteria, e.g.,
TableCriteria = ',,,''VIEW''' to see only views
TableCriteria = ',APPDBA' to see only tables, views etc that belong to
owner APPDBA.

The syntax is a bit different, depending on whether you use IBM,Oracle,
Sybase or ODBC.
When you define the db-profile with these settings, a user will only see
views (when using the first example), nothing else.

Do the users have capability to create the reports??
Are they able to manipulate the data or format??
Please me more details
From my understanding that you told me they just only view the data, but
they cant do anything else.

In the report and sql painter, they can manipulate what they get and how to
display it.
In the form painter and database painter they can edit data.
The pipeline painter allows to copy / move data between databases.

Infomaker can be installed in two modes: reporting only and complete, which
enables the form, database and pipeline painters.
