Our customer is using Infomaker 6.5 and Informix 7.2 on SCO Unix.
They are using Informix ODBC driver ver2.80 32bit to connect. When they try
to connect, they get a message : "Catalog tables could not be created and
are not available for use". (The user to connect to the db has the rights to
create tables)
Then, they try to create a report to present max. and min values of some
value for the whole year. The report is expected to have 365 rows. The
obtained report is as follows;

10 rows of zeros are displayed between each real record. The total number of
rows displayed is still 365 as it should be but because of the zeros, only
the data of 2 months or so is displayed.

What is the cause of these problems?
Where can I find another driver to connect to Informix 7.2?

Also, the connection is very slow.

The owner of the Catalog tables needs to grant at least select privileges on
these tables to the user. These tables are not required to run IM/PB
succesfully. They contain edit styles, display formats, default labels for
columns etc, so they can make life easier.

IM comes with an Informix driver. It probably is one from Intersolv.
I searched the Web and found Simba, Informix, Intersolv (Merant), Openlink
