I was able to format multiple columns at once in Report Painter with IM40.
Now with 5.0 and 6.0, when I select more than one column the property
selection "turns off". Is there a options setting that needs to be changed?
It becomes quite a hassle to change properties on multiple columns
individually on many band groups.

Sybase broke this in 5. In 7 it will be fixed again.

You can change properties that can be accessed via a toolbar, such as font
properties, border, color, slide, etc. without going to the property sheet.
