I'm having some trouble with a few fields in a report. I'm using IM 5.0.

For some reason, a few objects (a few text objects and a few computed
objects) intermittently don't show in a report. I'll run the report based
on a certain criterion of data, and it may work fine, but this is rare.
Other times I'll run it and one text field (always the same one) may not
show, and 2-4 computed objects hardly ever show. I checked the computation,
and the other objects these fields are based on, and everything looks fine.
I get this error when I run it: Line 208 Column 8: incorrect syntax.

If I delete these fields, the report runs fine. But, obviously I need to
include these calculations. Any suggestions?

Sounds like your report got corrupted. A few things to try:
- copy (not move!) the report to another pbl and see if the problem goes
away
- watch for null values. They don't give you these error messages, but they
will cause computations to fail, because nulls are undefined.
- remove columns from the select statement that you use in those computed
fields. Save the report and then readd them in
- If you are not using IM5.0.04, get it. It fixes a lot of little bugs:

If you have access to Powerbuilder, you can analyze the code that's behind
the scene. I can try yo look at the report if you can't find anyone.
