We are having an intermittent problem with IPX protocol to out NT3.51
server, running 10.0.2. At the time we had 377 users connected and every
local user , using IPX , became 'frozen' out of the system. I restarted
the server and the users using 'IP' had access, but i had to reboot the
NT computer before the IPX users could gain access. Can somebody let me
know what and where the NT configuration variables are please. Has
anybody had this happen to them ?

Cheers

markh :-)

Mark,
You may need the patched version of the NLNWLINK.DLL
which had some problems in the 10.0.2 days. Give a call to
Sybase Tech Support and discuss your problem with them. They
are still taking some calls on System 10 during the next month or
so (even though support ended at the end of 1997). Talk to them
about the version you have, and they may ask what file date/time
of NLNWLINK.DLL you have. If you have "the buggy version"
which didn't periodically post the Netware name of the SQL
Server on SPX, then you need to upgrade that file to get the
IPX/SPX users more stabilized.

Any chance of upgrading to 11.0.x or 11.5.x?
