I have the following behaviour:

1) I make a dump to disk (c:\temp\test.bkp for example) of a database
xx. Lets's say the size of the file once the backup has finished is 1500
Kb.
2) I delete some tables from the database.
3) When I dump the database again to the same c:\temp\test.bkp (without
deleting the previous file) the result of this is a file of 1500 Kb
again (with different date). While if I delete c:\temp\test.bkp before
making the second dump, the resulting backup file is of 1300 Kb.

Is this the expected behaviour? Why is it that the when the file is
rewritten it does not get the size it should?

Thanks
