Does anyone know how the BCP a comma delimited file where the character
fields are surrounded by a double quote and numeric fields are not?
This is the only method in which we can receive text files from our
AS/400 thru RUMBA.
i.e.
"IGRM","12",970701,"9812",0,970701,0,"N","1000/1000/1000",1.,0
"IGRM","12",921001,"BASEWC",970630,921001,970630,"N","100/100/500",1.,0

Hi Eric,
The way to fix this is to have a C app to scan the file and get rid of
the quotes. BCP cannot handle this.

I use perl to get rid of the quotes:

tr/\"//d
