Hello,

I created a database applet with PowerJ. My environment:
- WinNT 4.0, Control Panel/Regional Settings: English (United States)
- PowerJ 2.1, pjclass2.5.23.zip
- jConnect (TM) for JDBC(TM)/3.0/Production Version/JDK11/Mon New 24
0:58:25 1997
- Netscape v4.06
- Open Server Gateway 5.5.04 Build #1867
- SQL Anywhere 5.5.04 Build #1867
Everything is ok, except that on the Java console (if I increase the
debug level) I can see these messages:
# Loading class com.sybase.jdbc.resource.Messages_en_US
# Fetching http://.../com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en_US.class
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en_US.properties in
http://.../ptutils.jar not found.
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en_US.properties in
http://.../jconnect30.jar not found.
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en_US.properties in
http://.../powerj.zip not found.
# Loading class com.sybase.jdbc.resource.Messages_en
# Fetching http://.../com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en.class
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en.properties in
http://.../ptutils.jar not found.
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en.properties in
http://.../jconnect30.jar not found.
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en.properties in
http://.../powerj.zip not found.
# Loading class com.sybase.jdbc.resource.Messages_en_US
# Fetching http://.../com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en_US.class
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en_US.properties in
http://.../ptutils.jar not found.
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en_US.properties in
http://.../jconnect30.jar not found.
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en_US.properties in
http://../powerj.zip not found.
# Loading class com.sybase.jdbc.resource.Messages_en
# Fetching http://.../com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en.class
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en.properties in
http://.../ptutils.jar not found.
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en.properties in
http://.../jconnect30.jar not found.
# com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_en.properties in
http://.../powerj.zip not found.
# Loading class com.sybase.jdbc.resource.Messages
# Loaded com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages.class from
http://.../jconnect30.jar

Later the same is repeated for com.sybase.utils.resource.
# Loading class com.sybase.utils.resource.Messages_en_US
...

Looking at the jConnect driver, we can find only 2 classes related to
resources:
com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages.class
com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_ja.class

Well, I don't care these messages as long as my applet is running, but
this applet should work in an intranet, where ALL the machines are
configured this way:
- WinNT 4.0, Control Panel/Regional Settings: Hungarian

Running the applet with this settings I get this on the Java console:
java.io.FileNotFoundException:
.../com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_hu_HU.class
java.io.FileNotFoundException:
.../com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_hu.class
java.io.FileNotFoundException:
.../com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_hu_HU.class
java.io.FileNotFoundException:
.../com/sybase/jdbc/resource/Messages_hu.class

And of course the applet won't run.
What can I do?
(I have to admit, that I did not check earlier messages in this list,
but I will...)

Thank you,
Tibor

compile the following program and place it in
$JDBC_HOME/classes/com/sybase/jdbc/resources

package com.sybase.jdbc.resource;
