Hi all,
I am trying to set-up JConnect 3.0 on a Solaris, which is the local
server, to talk to an off-site service Solaris w/an Informix DB via the
DirectConnect Anywhere 11.5. Becase Informix does not have a
JDBC available, I am forced to go ==> JDBC - ODBC route.

So far, I have the DirectConnect installed and connected to off-site
Informix sucessfully (verified via the trace & log file) . However,
when I ran my java code using JConnect, I get a syntax error that points
to the statement w/method --> ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("select *
from tabl1").

Any help is very much appreciated at this point, because I have
exhausted Sybase's Tech support. Unfortunately, there are not too many
Informix <-> Sybase connectivity experts there.

Thanks very much in advance.

Louise

If you are obtaining a syntax error, then the select statement is not
valid on Informix. jConnect does not modify the query (unless of course
you use the JDBC Escape functions).
