I have been developing, migrating and enhancing PB8 applications. Just
this past week I have tried to deploy my application through the project
painter. I've been able to open a "project" object. But now I'm getting
this message:

Unable to open this project because the add-on software that was used to
create it could not be found.
Perhaps this project was built on another systen?

What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?

This usually means that you've got copies of the PB DLLs (in particular,
pbvm80.dll) in your Windows System folder. Delete them and the problem
should go away.
