Hi,

We are using MSComm32.ocx in a Weighbridge application to capture the
weight of vehicles.
The following code is written in a button's click event:

String ls_Value
ole_1.object.PortOpen = True
ls_Value = ole_1.object.Input
ole_1.object.PortOpen = False

When these statements are executed in debugger mode it returns the weight,
however if application is run in normal mode then nothing is returned. We
have also tested Yield() to slow down the process a bit but there is no
success.

The equivalent code in Visual Basic is running fine and returning proper
value.

Any assistance would be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Faiz

If "The equivalent code in Visual Basic is running fine and returning
proper " then create your own OCX and embed
MSCOMM32 into it. You can create events,functions and properties accordding
to your neeeds. Than place your new component on your PB form. The rest is
success..!
