Dear all,

I am trying to set a column "status" to different font in a dw dw_x depends
on the value of that column. (default font = "Arial")

dw_x.modify('status.font.face = "Wingdings"')
dw_x.modify('status.font.charset = 2')
This works and change font of column status to "Wingdings" for entire dw.

However, it encounters a error for the following statements
dw_x.modify ('status.font.face = "Arial~tif (sin= ~"P~", "Wingdings",
dw_x.modify ('status.font.charset="0~tif (sin=~"P~", 2, 0)')

Do anyone have idea how to change the font.face for these rows with status
= "P" in a datawindow?

Set an expression in the DW definition. What version of PB are
you using? In PB 6.5, right click on the column, go to Properties
and the last tab is expressions.

In PB 8.0, each property has a small icon on the side if it allows

By the way, from looking at the properties that allow expressions
I can tell you that the font itself cannot change on a row by
row basis. But you can make a specific row italiziced, etc.

In general expressions are used to set row by row differences
in properties.
