Hello

I'm having problems opening and printing bitmap/jpg files from PowerBuilder
(version 8.0.1 release 8004). Somtimes the bitmap is shown in the picture
object / on the print out, and sometimes it's just blank (no certain
pattern is obvious). I tried upgrading to PowerBuilder 8.0.3 with no
effect.

Is PowerBuilder in general having difficulties reading bitmap images or am
I missing something?

Any help is much appreciated.

Regards

Henrik

Henrik;

Everything is working super for me. I am on PB 8.0.1 (build 9056) on NT
and PB 8.0.3 on WK2.
What version of MS-Windows are you using? Also, have you tried a different
printer to see if it could be a print driver problem?

regards .... Chris

Hello Chris

Our problem occurs on W98, W2k, NT, and XP machines (which unfortunately
also includes out customers' machines). The funny thing is that the
pictures being loaded, can be viewed in any picture viewer (IE, Paint,
etc.), but randomly fail to open in the PowerBuilder picture object or
appear in the datawindow on the print out.

Regards

Henrik

Hi there,

Happened to finished some report today that required some picture object to
print out. Did remember bitmap used to cause same problem for me in older
PB version. Since PB8 when use GIF or JPG no more this "blank picture" on
report.

Regards,
Roger Chang

ps. this "blank picture" doesn't seemed related to printer driver...

Hi,

Have you check the file path of the bitmap/jpg files.
I had face the problem before and checked that it is the problem of the
