I would like to create a pictorial flow of the applications screens in one
of our PB apps, much like a web site map. Are you aware of any add-ins or
third-party tools that can automatically generate this?

Thank you.

Bug;

Hey, we have to pay the exchange rate from US to Canadian $. What are
you complaining about!

But, you only need one or two licenses. Not all PB developers at a site need
the tool. It is just nice to go to one workstation with your PBL's and
immediately get a roadmap of your application.

BTW: CAST works with Cobol, Java, C++, VB, Delphi, (even Cobol), etc. So
the one copy can road map various applications that are hitting a corporate
DB. If you add up all the various developer's time trying to get a handle on
the various interactions of the database and components (i.e. VB can call PB
and vise versa), this tool maps it all and can literally save many
developers hours of code searching through complex applications and or
systems.

I am just participating with a client here in Canada's National Capital
who is about to install the software!

FYI: CAST Software was formed by x-Sybase employees.

Oh, you don't have to convince me! It's my management that has a firm grip
on the ol' wallet. They saw the CAST software as a 1-time use thing, and
couldn't see any benefit after the initial mapping. :(

Bug;

Don't tell me you work for an employer even more tight-wadded than a
Government Department?

Note: Even the initial mapping can save you hundreds (or thousands) of
developer / analyst hours where systems have been changed over a few years
with no documention (typical here in the Canadian Government).

regards .. Chris

I work for Greyhound Lines, Inc. Our CEO's focus is on "busses, bodies, and
bags". (You can ship packages through Greyhound.) The IT dept rarely gets
anything fancy.

This message was typed on my PIII 300MHz pc running Win95. We're a little
behind on hardware and OS licenses, too. :-\
