Does anybody know about the implementation of a persistence layer
with PB?

Yes, I am interested in OO programming with PB but not using a
monolithic approach (with datawindows for example). I am more
interested in n-tier applications with PB (presentation objects,
business objects, persistence layer, etc)

Thanks in advance

Raul Mejia

Please refrain from posting to multiple groups.

PB can be used to build components which then can be used in Jaguar and/or
MTS application servers.

Raul:

Some other TeamSybase folks (Power3) have put together
a couple of whitepapers which I feel will be a good introduction
on how to utilize PowerBuilder for n-tier.

If your initial need is to n-tier-enable an existing PB application:
Partitioning Existing Applications

7.pdf

Somewhat version-dated, but still good for a
high-level overview on how to proceed:
Taking Applications to the Web

I developed a simple Object-Relational Mapping engine for PB. It allowed the
application code to be completely SQL-free.
