Hello everyone.
I need to intercept the minimize event of a standard powerbuilder window.
Seems like it can't be done using the events of the window control.
Does anyone know how do do this?

Thanks

This was post by Paul Horan awhile ago but it should get you started. I do
not know if it traps the user minimizing from right clicking the application
on the application bar and choosing minimize from there though.

Tyler

Use SystemCommand event for that. The following code will detect
four things, and disallows the action.

event systemcommand (pbm_syscommand)

Choose Case CommandType
Case 61472 /* Minimize button */ &
,61458 /* Title Bar/Move */ &
,61536 /* Close from Control Menu */ &
,61728 /* Restore button */

message.processed=TRUE
message.returnvalue = 0

End Choose

Why you can't use Resize event (first argument SizeType)?
Tested on Pb7 - works well.

You can, it's just less efficient to do it in the resize event.

Just curious, why is using the resize event less efficient?

Because resize fires more often then syscommand...
