In Outlook, you can insert a hyperlink in a pure text message.

In the e-mail functionality I have written in our application, I can cut the
hyperlink from Outlook and paste it into a dw column. The dw column does
not show the hyperlink and no special characters show. When the e-mail is
sent, the hyperlink does appear.

If I cut and paste the text into my code as a string, I still see no special
codes. When I programmatically add the text to the dw column and e-mail, I
don't get the hyperlink.

Does anyone know how how I coul format a hyperlink and insert into a dw
column. It's okay that it doesn't show as a hyperlink in the column, but
the resulting e-mail should show it as a hyperlink.

Thanks,

Short answer is you can't. But depending on how you generate you emails,
you might be able to use HTML generation capabilities of the datawindow and
use ValueIsHTML property. (this is just an untested thought).

It just seems to me that if I can cut and paste it in and I get a hyperlink,
that there's some programmatic way I should be able to insert it into the
text stream before I send the e-mail.
