When I start a new mail session, the system always asks for the profile to
use. I want to always use "MS Exchange Settings". I cannot find the
solution, so... is there a way to programically get that answer in without
the users being asked to choose the profile?

Here is how I start my session.... mRtn =
i_mailSession.mailLogon(mailNewSession!)

Thanks,

Jason Lipman

Have you read the help file for the MailLogon function?

mailsession.mailLogon ( { profile, password } {, logonoption } )

profile (optional) A string whose value is the user's mail system profile or
user ID
password (optional) A string whose value is the user's mail system password

When mailLogon establishes a new session, then the mail system's dialog box
prompts for the profile and password if the script doesn't supply them.

FYI:

Also, make sure the profile you are specifing is set up on the mail accounts. If
not, you'll get the same dialog box asking you to choose a profile.

This is my next question!!

I definitely need to define the profile as well! How do I do that without
using OLE? Can't it be done programically?

Here is what I have now....
mRtn = i_mailSession.mailLogon("User", "Password", mailNewSession!)

More accurately... I cannot assume there is an Exchange session active from
which to piggyback on. I need to Logon defining the User ID, Password, and
the Profile. This is doeable using OLE, but I'd prefer to use the PB
dmailSession if I can.
